I rescued 5 puppies and their mom 3 months ago. Three of them found loving homes, but unfortunately, the remaining two were adopted by someone who put them in close proximity to sick dogs, resulting in parvo. I'm terrified that the vet might stop the treatment, and I don't want these pups to suffer or worse.

Rock & Rawhide , a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that aims to increase adoptions for dogs and cats in shelters by providing toys and other items that serve as a form of distraction therapy, reducing the stress and noise levels. Research has shown that if noise and stress are reduced, adoptions go up!

Rescuing the Vick dogs was a controversial move by Best Friends and some animal groups, most notably PETA, did not agree with it. And the dogs deserve a happy life after all the suffering they have been through (two of them have already been adopted.) Be warned, there were some dog-fighting clips in the episode.)

The suffering in this world that occurs at the hand of humankind and is entirely intentional, is disgusting and dispiriting. I choose not to watch videos or bombard myself with images of suffering. I rescue, I adopt, I do TNR, and I connect others to resources to do the same. Thanks so much. I know it's out there.
