From July 6-8, there was a European conference in Larnaca about illegal bird killing , organized by Terra Cypria. It seems that it came off rather well, and was co-organized by the Cyprus Game Fund and members of the Bern Convention. Kingfisher on a limestick (Credit: Hüseyin Yorganc?) That’s welcome news.

4 The Love Of Animals

Animals in the tri-state area are euthanized daily, rescue groups are unable to save as many lives as they wish, and animals spend years in boarding kennels while awaiting adopters to fall in love with them. One thing they all have in common is the dangerous waiting game. For an adopter, it makes the process a little easier.

Kills in Canada, Alaska and Mexico are not included in the count. Texas and North Dakota together account for 88% of the total yearly kill of sandhill cranes. Sandhill Hunt: They’re Voting Now Sandhill Cranes: Game Birds? This slow reproduction rate is unlike any other avian game species currently hunted.

They are not necessarily the biggest African animals, but represented those that were considered a real hunter’s worthy prey or “game” – the African Elephant, Cape Buffalo, Black Rhinoceros, Leopard and king of the jungle, the Lion (which of course doesn’t inhabit jungle but savanna!). They live for up to 100 years.
