We were not party to the count of the original decision, so it is not possible to say whether 34% share of the vote was an improved showing, but the Barn Owl in second place scored only 12% of the crosses, giving the Robin little cause for worry. The King is dead! Long live the King!

I pushed for Wikipedia to adopt them, and then to follow the taxonomy, and given the dominance of Wikipedia in Google search results, this is no small thing. The Barn Owl was a cosmopolitan species, so as it is split the name has to be shared (American, western and eastern). But the name… oh god the name.

They named her Jasmine, and they started to think about finding her an adoptive home. From left, Toby, a stray Lakeland dog; Bramble, orphaned Roe deer; Buster, a stray Jack Russell; a dumped rabbit; Sky, an injured barn owl; and Jasmine with a Mothers heart doing best what a caring Mother would do… Such is the order of God’s Creation.
