After securing our passage, I patiently waited for this once-in-a-lifetime experience to a place we have never been and lacked any knowledge of, we were in for a complete surprise. About half of all breeding Wandering Albatross nest on the Prince Edward Islands. Regardless, we made it Marion and all else added to the experience.

Nonprofit organizations, science, and the best intentions in the world came to the rescue with a captive breeding program, and we now have over 400 Pink Pigeons living in Mauritius, the nearby island of Ile aux Aigrettes, and the zoos hosting the breeding program, including the Bronx Zoo. Is this the type of avian experience we want?

Fostering is a wonderful experience. A certain breed, age, sex, temperament, that you think will fit into your home. A pet needs time to decompress, to learn trust, to “get over” the shelter experience. She was on the kill list in NYC and was pulled by A Pathway to Hope Rescue, after Rock & Rawhide advocated for her life.
