Further down the road, we reach a derelict building with a large veranda hidden among the trees – an abandoned hunting lodge (if I were in a situation to invest, I would choose to upgrade this into a luxury wildlife lodge). We are observing a Dhole , also called Asiatic or Indian Wild Dog. It is too early to show.

My attention was drawn upward by the elegant flying-knife form of an Osprey bearing a large fish. It flared its wings, and the Osprey flared to match but refused to abandon the fish. If these two events were fables, the Ravens would have switched roles in mere minutes from big hulking bullies to cunning, dogged little fighters.

If you have extra dog shirts/sweaters around (or if you would like to buy new ones), send them to The Dog Project. They are collecting sweaters to help dogs in shelters keep warm in the winter months. If dogs have to be in a shelter, at least they will be more comfortable. Try making a toy yourself. Get creative!
