Originally, a decoy was a closed-ended wickerwork tunnel used to catch grounded wild ducks by driving them into this trap with dogs. Their 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of several red wine grape varieties, principally Cabernet Sauvignon, with some Merlot, Petit Verdot, Petite Sirah, and Cabernet Franc.

The Italian wintering grounds are the WWF Oasis Laguna di Orbetello, where in February 2016 I was delighted to meet the flock. The individual I am pictured holding ( above ) was a friendly bird that (rather like a dog) seemed happy to be handled.

Dee Dee and her dog Hallie are introduced as competing artists. Dee Dee is trying her best to come up with a winning Duck Stamp painting, while her talented blind dog Hallie outsells her own artwork! The Migratory Bird Hunting and Conservation Stamp is obviously a successful wildlife conservation program.
