The Little Bronze-cuckoo cooperated in 2013 allowing me to photograph it and since then it has been heard often, observed, but not photographed! Channel-billed Cuckoos have now left the Broome area and have headed north, but are the largest of the cuckoo family to visit the Broome area. Pallid Cuckoo.

In the former, a female lays her fertilized egg in the nest of another species, in the hopes that her offspring will be raised by the unwitting hosts.
