Purina ONE® beyOnd® brand dog and cat food and GOOD have teamed up to host the Shine a Light on a Shelter challenge and award a $10,000 grant to an animal shelter doing great work. Do you know of a shelter that is doing good work on behalf of homeless pets? Nominations are accepted now through July 30, 2012.

Rock & Rawhide , a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that aims to increase adoptions for dogs and cats in shelters by providing toys and other items that serve as a form of distraction therapy, reducing the stress and noise levels. This shelter has hundreds of dogs and cats coming and going on a daily basis and need our help!

The Santa Paws Drive is an online toy drive dedicated to shelter pets to bring them a little joy and fun while they await their forever homes. The six shelters chosen this year are: Bobbi and the Strays – Glendale, New York.
