Mid-May to Mid-Jun is the best time to see some of the most exciting species here, as this is the prime breeding time. Still, not a bird that merits flying 2000 km from your hometown. Posing on the – surprisingly numerous – ruins of buildings here at this altitude gives them a bit of an aura of extras in a Vietnam movie.
