It’s actually found in a wadi in the United Arab Emirates, in the mountains between Dubai and the Gulf of Oman. Long may it last. The spring the birds I’ll show you today is far from the seat of New Zealand’s government where I now work. A whole bunch coming for a drink.

The travel agent mentioned I had a 2 hour layover in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates. I was flying Emirates and that was the hub. I can’t thank Mike enough for a great day and highly recommend UAE Birding if you happen to be thinking of heading to the area. It was actually a moment’s impulse.
