Over $100 million went to medical research while about $1 million went to animal welfare causes. Actually, less than $1 million dollars went to animal welfare because a portion went to guide dog associations and that is human welfare as far as I’m concerned.) It’s more money for medical research.

I don't support animal research and I have no sympathy for animal researchers. I don't believe they are working for human welfare. I don't believe they want an honest dialogue about what they are doing to animals. I don't believe they are "brave" for "standing up" to animal rights activists.

The group is called NC3E (National Centre for the Replacement, Refinement and Reduction of Animals in Research). The Centre funds high-quality 3Rs research, organises workshops and symposia to disseminate and advance the 3Rs, and develops 3Rs information resources and guidelines.

This became clear from a report addressed at the European Parliament (EP) session on May 5–7, which seeks to vote on a directive concerning animal research. My personal philosophy is that millions of animals shouldn't suffer on anyone's behalf, especially when they do so against their will.
