On the mainland they face predation from domestic cats, dogs, genets, mongoose and Cape Gulls which steal their chicks and eggs. Remarkably, this growing colony suffered severe losses from a leopard that habitually came down from the mountains to feast on the easy penguin snacks.

Now, asking for vultures in India is a bit like asking your safari guide to show you a leopard. Leopards are hard to spot because they are elusive. Oddly, I saw no rats, only a mongoose or two and a few stray dogs. Not for the same reason, although. Vultures are anything but elusive.
