A parent bird’s instinct to feed and protect their young is very strong, and they will not willingly abandon their babies. Mites will eventually kill the bird. It needs to be properly medicated and triaged. Most likely the bird will need to be medicated for a few days “just in case.”. Child brings home a baby bird.
