While no one denies that LA has a host of other issues, it seems even the money already being allotted to animal control and animal services is being misused and as a result, we are in an animal shelter crisis. Please help us get some eyes on this issue and this kill-centered approach recalibrated.

Out of the 46 listed dogs we started with Monday 2/5/24 11 received Rescue Holds 5 received Adoption Holds 7 received Foster Holds 18 are being given an extra day 5 were killed for kennel capacity ?The The shelter gained three kennels by killing; ? LouisBear ??? We hope many are removed!

This weekend Lagos Town Hall executives are expected to sign a landmark protocol drawn up in collaboration with animal protection association Cadela Carlota, in which it is decreed that the two organisations will endeavour to put a stop to the extermination of healthy unwanted and stray animals being held in the municipal kennel.

There is an estimated 3-4million pets euthanized each year in US animal shelters. There is a strong lack of homes willing to open their doors to fostering a shelter pet.

Go to the shelter in person to identify your pet, rather than calling or emailing, as staff may not be able to respond in a timely enough fashion.
