Serendip Sanctuary, Victoria

It is free to enter Serendip Sanctuary and as you drive or walk up the road into the parking area there are opportunities to see kangaroos and wallabies as you can see above. Although Tawny Frogmouths are well camouflaged I did notice the shape of the tree was not quite right and there they were.

Emus roam the open areas, and surprisingly, various parrots, lorikeets or cockatoos can be found in most any major grove of trees. This Pied Butcherbird was right at the base to Ayres Rock. This Wedge-tailed Eagle was sitting along side one of the roads, eyeing a small road killed Kangaroo.
