My high-level impression is that ChatGPT can synthesize lots of information and produce results that initially seem impressive, but that it still makes obvious mistakes and some of its algorithms can lead it astray, particularly for a subject like birding where there is likely a paucity of credible source material on the internet.

Both states were new to me in terms of eBird, so I had never visited Bombay Hook NWR , which made my list of the Top 25 NWRs for Birding. So far, I have 17 trip reports and they are an easy way to summarize some of my birding trips, easily allowing me to see detailed cumulative information about the trip.

A number of these NWRs appear on my list of the Top 25 NWRs for Birding.). For example, Bosque del Apache NWR in New Mexico is renowned for its winter birding, featuring huge numbers of Sandhill Cranes and Snow Geese, among others. In particular, the Friends of Bosque del Apache NWR hosts Festival of the Cranes each November.
