They are found in the Bahamas, Cuba, the Cayman Islands, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, the Turks and Caicos, Antigua, Barbuda and Jamaica. With assistance from the Negril Area Environmental Protection Trust (NEPT) a boardwalk and nature centre have been established. They are also the rarest.
