A New Year Begins! But First–A Celebration of My 2018 Top Ten Birds

Now, if you know NYC geography and its transit system, you will know that it isn’t always easy to get from the East side to the West side, where the Harris’s Sparrow was located. And, because of a special family event (see below), I happened to be in Los Angeles County over the Thanksgiving holiday.

Where Are You Birding This First Weekend of March 2011?

Gareth Hazell Mar 4th, 2011 at 5:11 pm I’ll be on the hunt for Melodius Larks in the neighborhood and going to the Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens for another look at the Grey Wagtail!! We, along the coast in Los Angeles County, have a FY Harris’s Sparrow here now for about a week. Really nice! Happy Birding!
