The latest edition of Bull’s Birds of New York State , the classic book on NYS bird status and distribution, came out in 1998, so the numbers and trends given here represent a 16 to 18 year jump in currency. This is a project that clearly spanned decades. It’s a very mixed chapter. Another big year memoir?
