I can’t help noticing that you’ve just posted an angry story about Cecil the Lion on your timeline. And that lions are really cute. Tell me, what happens if we rip away hunting when hunting protects more wildlife land in Africa than national parks? But the story wasn’t really one about conservation.

The definition of the word HUNT is “to chase or search for game or other wild animals for the purpose of catching or killing.” ” Obviously the dictionary does not equate hunting with conservation. To the Editor: In “ Hunting Deer With My Flintlock ” (Op-Ed, Dec. He says he hunts out of a need to take responsibility for his family, who evidently live where the supermarkets offer no meat. I’m tired of hearing people who enjoy killing justify it with specious moral platitudes. Who wiped out the wolves and mountain lions?
