The only cool thing is that Gene Bauer's views on the meat industry are so similar to those expressed on this blog a few weeks ago. Humane treatment runs counter to the entire industry when the point is to make money by processing these animals as fast as possible. No wonder there is so much "farm" animal abuse out there.

The tiresome Hitler was a well-known vegetarian comment is included in this segment, but I found it irksome long before that. I'm sure we could do a much better job of ensuring the humane treatment of our laboratory animals--but at this point it's very difficult even to start the discussion. It "guarantees humane treatment?"
