Sani Pass – a Drakensberg birding gem
10,000 Birds
JANUARY 8, 2013
Albeit currently a rugged 4×4-only road, Sani Pass is the most accessible route from KwaZulu-Natal into the Mountain Kingdom of Lesotho. The male Swee Waxbill sports a black face and groups of these beautiful birds are common in the wooded areas of the lower Sani Pass. Photo by Adam Riley. Image by Adam Riley.
