What this land-locked country lacks in endemic birds it more than makes up for in accessibility of tough species, numbers of birds and the overall wildlife experience. Specials include birds like African Pygmy Geese, Racket-tailed Roller and Western Banded Snake-eagle. We are currently filming in Botswana.

By the time you see this in the United States, I will have had a full week to explore this amazing area, and the wildlife that calls this home. We are on the go until usually around 1:30 give or take a herd of zebras blocking the road. The schedule is a bit daunting, as we are up before 5 AM to get to the gate for the 6AM opening.

Now it is perfect weather for camping in the bush and enjoying the wildlife and for this reason we took two days to explore the bush between Broome and Derby. The native bushes were full of Zebra Finch, Long-tailed Finch and Double-barred Finch waiting to nip to the water when they felt safe to do so.
