Motomco’s Material Safety Data Sheet for “Hawk” warns that the product “is extremely toxic to fish, birds, and other wildlife” and that “dogs and predatory and scavenging mammals and birds might be poisoned if they feed upon animals that have eaten this bait.” Motomco also makes “Jaguar” and “Tomcat,” complete with cat icons, of course.

Perhaps the most well known mosquito born disease, heartworms can be fatal to dogs and occasionally cats and foxes. Heartworms are easily controlled by any one of a number of medications designed to kill the worms or repel mosquitoes. When a mosquito bites an infected bird and then bites a human or mammal, it can transmit the virus.
