Yet More Good News for Project Treadstone

Regarding Adam's comment yesterday about low-cost spay/neuter, the reason this particular one is low-cost is that it is subsidized by the county and city (and maybe State, I'm not sure). However, she does have people who can help, and now that Pahokee's open they will focus some time each week on Project Treadstone! Can you imagine?

You may recall that when I took him to the vet (and at that time I thought he was a she) I asked them to check him out and they said he looked fine. And last night, a veterinary surgeon-friend of mine asked for help regarding ferals, and I believe today we are signing up a colony about five miles from me with 50 (!)

From the feral cats of Project Treadstone to Charles' back surgery to problems with Violet's Vetsulin (insulin for dogs), we had more than our share of issues. For these reasons, my vet had no problem with me stockpiling Vetsulin. As many of you know, 2009 was chock full of creature-related drama for me.
