We met Marilyn and Leonardo at a non-descript fast-food joint’s parking lot and within 10 minutes we were in Parque Nacional La Estanzuela. Our main goal here was the Maroon-fronted Parrot. These parrots breed inside cavities in cliffs and they are very particular about the cliff. It was amazing.

So, Carlos decided to make me feel ungrateful by taking me to see another species of parrot, this one countable. And could we just do a quick drive through at a fast food joint? We had to eat some wonderfully prepared Lebanese food including some outstanding hummus. We needed countable species! Of course not!
