Image via Wikipedia I found The Goode Family disappointing on the vegan side. Another opportunity for infiltration (heh, heh, heh) has presented itself on Intent.com , which has a " Food and Nutrition " page that already has posts about mindful eating and vegetarianism. Is The Goode Family Good for the Environment?

There's no remotely vegan or even vegetarian (though I'm not even sure what the latter would look like) message. Film is a visual medium and through direction, dialogue, editing, music and any effects, the filmmaker presents (in this case) his agenda. Then they yank the heads, slit the throats, and de-feather and gut the chickens.

Also, the have families (as if other animals don't). Meanwhile, gorillas don't live in a traditional human family structure of mom, dad and kids, but somehow their family structure is an important reason for us to save them. I remember that as a child I called all cats "she" and dogs "he" in the absence of a name.

So, we are given the "cull the herd for its own good" defense, or the "cull the herd to prevent automobile accidents" defense, or the "I hunt to put food on my family's table" defense.
