Like when they're about to be, say, slaughtered? What about being torn from your family? Not to mention the reality that there is so much more involved in being bred for slaughter than pain, and none of that is addressed. That action is to opt out and go vegan. This is where I'm confused. What about being raped?

David Scott (D-Ga), who is the chairman of the Livestock, Dairy and Poultry Subcommittee of the House Committee on Agriculture draws a line in the sand regarding the animals we use and how we use them. I don't think anyone is campaigning for "farm" animals to become pets, as many of us don't even think the family cat should be the family cat.
