Things had just started to settle down a bit, now that we had parked the RV in Tucson. We left Tucson on Monday, and drove to Alpine, Texas for our first night. There better be at least 30” was that number she threw out at me, as we were driving away from Tucson. Aplomado Falcon. Now the pressure was on. Great Scaup.

This area also is where I hope to fill in a few target birds, like the newly spilt Woodhouse’s Scrub Jay, Pinyon Jays and Prairie Falcons. As we walked back along the trails, we flushed a Prairie Falcon out of the rim rocks above our head. It’s not Prairie Falcon , but it is a great little Rock Wren.
