Here are a few of my recommendations for some such esteemed members of the Costa Rican avifauna: Forest Football Chicken or FFC (Great Tinamou) – Since tinamou sounds like the perfect representation of an oddly-shaped bird with a small head that gives beautiful tremulous vocalizations, I am sorely tempted to leave this one off the list.

Rumor has it that the sorely-needed authoritative book on flycatchers is in the works…it can not be published quickly enough. 2) The internet has changed everything.

This latest addition to the ABA State Field Guide series is sorely needed in places like Wakodahatchee. The binding also appears to be strong; I’m able to open to Prairie Falcon in Colorado , pressing open the pages so they lie flat, without fear that I will crack the spine. (It’s Interestingly, there is little overlap.
