There’s an imperative to get this message across to cat people who, like me, can be educated to value wild lives as much as we value the lives of our four-legged family members. It’s tribal and familial. With respect to the stray cat Puck, we eventually learned her name was Jackie.

Imagine the heart exploding with happiness that the beautiful pet you have supported and loved, has found forever love with a great family. Fostering is a wonderful experience. A pet needs time to decompress, to learn trust, to “get over” the shelter experience. The former could not be further from the truth. Look at tail wag.
