I do not (yet) have any accessibility issues, and my only experience regarding anything akin to accessibility has been limited to the period when my daughter was in a stroller, which presents only a tiny sliver of the challenges faced by many. Pets are not allowed, nor are joggers, runners, or bicyclists.

Here are some myths: Falconry birds are essentially pets. When you see a falconer transporting their bird or walking with a group, the bird might be in a dark crate or hooded. Turns out the founder of TRC and many the vets who worked in clinic were falconers as well. I learned that I knew nothing of falconry. Not all the time.

Following is a telepathic conversation I experienced while transporting dogs to a rescue. One day about 10 years ago, I was in the process of transporting quite a few dogs to a rescue from a high kill shelter. They will have the opportunity find a forever home, experience unconditional love or transition to the Other Side.

And I received confirmation of something I've known since 2004, when we adopted retired racing greyhound, Violet Rays: That there's sort of a critical period for dog-behavior acquisition, and if it's missed, the dog isn't likely to mature into the type of loving being whose behavior we've come to associate with "pet" dogs.
