We were the type of family that bought the best dog food, dog insurance , BPA free chew toys, etc. One of my favorite experiences was the chance to work with Shelby, a dog that was absolutely terrified of men. I remember seeing her shaking as I slowly knelt at her kennel. She was shortly adopted afterwards into a loving family.

Animals in the tri-state area are euthanized daily, rescue groups are unable to save as many lives as they wish, and animals spend years in boarding kennels while awaiting adopters to fall in love with them. Fostering is a wonderful experience. A pet needs time to decompress, to learn trust, to “get over” the shelter experience.
