They are forced to work in factories owned by a hideous woman, Gretsch. Animals are indeed enslaved, but in real life they're not making widgets in factories. There is no mention of food or skin or zoos. The factory is supposed to be a proxy for all of that, but it doesn't work for me. Or any vegan message.

On the Psychological Continuum

Hence the psychological continuum described (below) by Austria's Association Against Animal Factories from about a year ago. I do think that in my lifetime greyhound racing will end, circuses will be animal-free, elephants and marine mammals won't be in zoos, and fur might even be banned. I assume Francione does not disagree.
