My rescue dog had to be euthanized due to aggressive brain tumor only after a month of having him and I feel shattered. Ways to cope? Would it be wrong to buy a new puppy?

I got a rescue dog one month and two weeks ago, I waited for him for two months before and I was so happy when he finally cane home. Shelter said that it was resource aggression, but that was false. I dont know if I have weird way to cope, but I already looked at puppies that are available. After attacks he became lethargic.
