All the proceeds will benefit the Golden Triangle Asian Elephant Foundation (GTAEF) conservation, which has rescued 11 baby and young-adult elephants since its inception in 2006. In other words, it's so tragic that elephants are in mortal danger that you should kill cows to help protect the imperiled elephants?

A kingfisher with a somewhat deficient work ethic, I guess. Tiphys died either of a snakebite or of a mysterious illness but he was not killed by either a tiger or a rhinoceros. Here is one: when taking photos of elephants, an 800 mm tele lens is not the best equipment. Or speluncaphobia? Lucky him, right?

Ian says, regarding " Veterinarians Train Sealers to Kill Humanely, " that "veterinarians very often do not care about animals but rather are more like auto mechanics who are providing a service for humans (that service may be to save an animal or kill an animal, etc)." There is an elephant who deperately needs our help.

We are a far bigger problem on this planet than the (over)population of feral cats, elephants, Canada geese, or any other creature we "manage" or want to manage, "humanely" or otherwise. And when the option is rounding them up and killing them, TNR looks like an especially attractive option. But who cares about me?
