I didn’t know the set up required for a black bear, or how high a Florida panther can actually jump.

22 January 5:00AM-4:00PM – Central Florida Specialties: I’ve never led this trip before but I have visited pretty much everywhere it is going and had great luck in past years. I watched this Bald Eagle catch and eat a Blue-winged Teal at Viera a couple of years ago. So come on down to Florida in January!

I started the year in Florida, traveled to India with the ABA in February, combined family and birding in an August trip to California, and in-between saw very good birds in New York and New Jersey. 1) Dusky Eagle-Owl. It was a good birding year. Many sad and unfortunate things occurred in 2016, but the birding was good.
