Tiphys died either of a snakebite or of a mysterious illness but he was not killed by either a tiger or a rhinoceros. A Crested Serpent Eagle , looking a bit ridiculous after a rain. Another “maybe this is” species: a possible Wallaces Hawk-eagle. Back to birds. Lucky him, right? Though he ended up dead anyway.
