Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve: the Tiger Afternoon

The Little Egret walks in front of her, a dozen Lesser Whistling Ducks flies noisily low above water and through a flooded grass wades one Black-winged Stilt. Our mobile phones had no signal inside the reserve, yet, the guides were communicating on some local network, informing each other where the tigers are. Very dusty Swarovski CLs.

Colorful + Devious = Toucans of Costa Rica

While growing up in western New York during the 70s and 80s, sure, we could have found some information, some illustrations of toucans at the local public library. Toucans were something else entirely and we couldn’t even see them at the local zoo.
