Did you know that May 16-22 is National Dog Bit Prevention Week? They are working hard to help spread that word about how to prevent dog bites. Here are the tips and stats that they sent us: Nearly 2,900 letter carriers were bitten by dogs last year, yet that pales in comparison to the 4.7 Don’t run past a dog.

I just now got back from dog sledding with my son and his friend. Or they called at us from dog teams tethered on the ice, too busy stealing food to have a closer look. A single dance goes on for as much as 20 minutes. I don’t partake, I’d be too busy scratching my head and clutching my chest.
