The coming holiday week – with its fireworks, firecrackers and other loud noises — can be terrifying to dogs. Some run away, trying to escape the sound; in fact, the Fourth of July week is peak time for lost dog reports. They include: Don’t leave a fearful dog outdoors. Don’t leave your dog alone during fireworks.

It is now treated as its own species, confined to Africa and the tip of Arabia (Black Kites also migrate here from Europe and Asia). I saw these individuals in Imfolozi Game Reserve, where they were hanging around a kill.

So it is the dying seconds of the game, 3rd and long and I still haven’t come up with an idea for a post. It is game day for the 99th Grey Cup , Canada’s annual football party and championship (46 Superbowls? My team, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers are in the game, after finishing in the cellar of the league last year.

Barra to be precise, just a few miles out of the city and adjacent to the Olympic Park for the 2016 games. The Southern Atlantic Ocean crashes onto the beach here and Brown Boobies surfed the waves, occasionally touching a wing-tip into the face of one to leave a momentary streak.

A couple of days ago, my end of the world started to tip back towards the Sun. Every night the community gathers to play games and following that with a dance. I just now got back from dog sledding with my son and his friend. Or they called at us from dog teams tethered on the ice, too busy stealing food to have a closer look.
