We hadn’t been on the road long before a shout went out that a dog had been seen, and we quickly turned back, and there was my first Painted Wolf in Mkuze.

Tianmashan bonus mammal: a Raccoon Dog – though it looks a lot like a raccoon, it is actually more closely related to foxes than to raccoons. And it does not even live in reeds. The White’s Thrush will keep pretending to be a reptile.

We Should Kill More Lions

This Lion should not be shot, as it is a protected reserve that forbids shooting. The answer should be obvious to anyone familiar with wildfowl hunting in the US and the film Jerry McGuire – money.
