Sometimes an article has a couple of the above, as in the case of " Chinese Legal Experts Call for a Ban on Eating Cats and Dogs." Or if it's brutal it is necessary.

Are the kids cooking monkey, cat, dog, alligator or turtle? The site says food production factories are included , but I doubt that means those involving the slaughter of animals.). Perhaps they are taught that other cultures eat animals other than cows, chickens, fish and pigs, I don't know. But I bet anything doesn't go.

If you believe your dog has a right to a life free of torture and slaughter for no reason, then you really ought to think about extending that right to mice, rats, chickens and fish. Whereas those arguments maintain that grain-eating animals should not be slaughtered, this argument is at least consistent with the position that they should be: grain-eating animals, it might be maintained by a new moral vegetarian, should be slaughtered to prevent them from eating more grain and producing new grain-eating offspring.

And if you know someone who still eats fish or anyone else from the sea, this is a fantastic book, as I don't recall anyone giving sea creatures the respect they deserve in a long time (and telling their audience the truth about their lives and deaths).
