In my opinion dogs would be the first to go. Although I love dogs they're too dependent on humans, it's true that stray/feral dogs can form packs and survive in the wild a regular dog like a golden retriever would get eaten by a lion instantly. The main strategy for horses is organisation.

Sadly a lot of eggs are lost to feral cats and chicks are sometimes taken by birds of prey. These parents have a strategy where they nest away from the reef and then walk the chicks the 2 kilometres there within a few days of hatching. We had one pair attempt 5 times in 2009, so they don’t give up easily!
