The animals themselves identified as “civilised” and started a hunger strike in protest. Nowadays, the numbers are being controlled through culling. Disappointingly, a very interesting area was closed off for the cows to rest (what about a nice stable?) Actually, no, they just starved to death for lack of care. It was awful.

The animal rights movement is (rightly) closely associated with protesting things like factory farming, dogfighting, etc…basically, the mistreatment of animals. What’s even more frustrating is when animal rights people learn of plans to cull nonnative species. This makes perfect sense. The logic of this is ridiculous.
