Here is my story about a quest for the Connecticut Warbler.–Bill For the better part of the past 25 years of bird watching, I have had one pretty common eastern wood warbler that has eluded me: the Connecticut Warbler. In Connecticut, a woman’s vehicle was totaled after she hit a turkey , flipped a few times and slid 100 feet into the woods. There’s also another issue–the spring turkey hunting season. In Boston, a turkey was the cause of a 2 car accident during the morning commute.

It was hunting around the edges of the West Pond of Jamaica Bay back at the beginning of March, a day that I saw both the individual in Queens and one in Brooklyn. Connecticut Warbler – I have missed this bird in Queens too many times. Short-eared Owl – Finally, a bird that I saw! Snow Bunting – Yes!
