I am still tired from the long drive, but it was great to play with the very best toys for birders, to be able to share experiences and to ask the factory staff all sorts of silly questions. At the end of the 20th century (and before the ELs were born), the factory hired consultants to help it restructure and maximise profits.

PETA wants to run a campaign that compares factory farming to the Holocaust. The German constitutional court has ruled that animal rights organisation PETA (People for Ethical Treatment of Animals) must end its campaign in which it draws a comparison between the Holocaust and industrial farming. Touchy subject there in Germany.

The Tirolean Alps are – well – rather barren by comparison. In fact, the photographer, Christoph Malin (who normally spends his time doing/photographing craziness on mountain bikes ) lives in the same village as our factory. But then again, those are some pretty hard acts to follow.
