Beside natural grasslands, they breed in arable fields (primarily alfalfa) where there is no grazing, but they risk being killed by combine harvesters. What treats do they face?

Perhaps the most well known mosquito born disease, heartworms can be fatal to dogs and occasionally cats and foxes. Heartworms are easily controlled by any one of a number of medications designed to kill the worms or repel mosquitoes. Once the worms hatch, they reach the dog’s heart, eventually causing death if not treated soon enough.

Dogs should not be used to hunt foxes. The tigers keep wandering out of their reserve and taking cattle from nearby villages, taking what little these already poor people have. Kill a president/religious leader/bunch of unfortunate random people and the masses will miraculously agree with you and join your cause.
