Contributions this month have come from; Costa Rica, USA, Australia, Mexico, Serbia, South Africa, UK, Botswana, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia and Iran. Cattle Egret – Bubulcus ibis. Cattle Tyrant – Machetornis rixosa. Electric storms closed the new walkway there and he amassed a total list of just 3 birds!

From my poolside viewpoint I can encompass four countries: Egypt where I am and, over the sea, Israel to the far left (there’s a birding mecca of Eilat), Jordan in the middle and finally the endless deserts of Saudi Arabia to the right. Focusing… Cattle Egrets ! Oddly, not a single gull in sight.
