A pet cat raising orphaned ducklings! That is, until the ducklings grow up, are released into a pond, and greet the local feral cat colony as long-lost relatives. Explanations are simple: only a mother rabbit or a highly trained rehabilitator has a chance of raising and releasing a healthy wild bunny. How cute!

Interesting that many of the grants this place gets specifically say they can't experiment on any domesticated animals (cats and dogs I guess.). There was a poster in the lunch room with four cute animals (a dog, cat, rabbit and something else.) Tags: animal experimentation mice Guinea Pigs medical research biotech.

Currently, A Chance for Bliss sanctuary is home to 96 residents including 25 horses, 22 dogs, 8 goats, 7 pot belly pigs , 4 sheep, 2 steers, 5 ducks, 5 geese, 5 cockatiels, 4 rabbits, 3 chickens, 3 cats, 1 turkey, a one-winged pigeon, Hines, and a turtle, Bart. Many of the dogs also have special medication needs.
